The new installed solar capacity in the US is expected to increase by 33% this year
According to a report released by the American Solar Energy Industry Association on Thursday, the installed solar capacity in the United States will increase by 33% this year. The surge in utility demand for carbon-free electricity will offset the sharp decline in home and enterprise rooftop system orders caused by the new crown epidemic.
The report estimates that the US solar industry will add 18 GW of installed capacity this year, which can supply electricity to more than 3 million groups. This is 9% less than they predicted before the outbreak.
